“How to get Rich Without Doing any Extra Work” There is a famous quote by a smart man by the name of Peter Drucker that goes “There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all” Many people are looking for the goose that lays the golden egg in order to find wealth , when the whole time it is right under their nose. A truly great book called “The Richest man in Babylon”explains this principle in more detail but I will use the game of golf as a metaphor for this hugely profitable principle. The power of compounding was emphasized by Einstein as universally one of the most powerful Laws known. Now those who play golf understand that betting on holes can be fun(especially with a few cold ales in the mix). Now suppose I started 18 holes with my buddy and I said lets mix it up and start at 10c a hole but double it each hole, what would he do. He’d start at doing a quick risk analysis of worst case scenario(he’s got a great snap hook). Anyway, hole one, 10c, hole two 20c, hole 3 40c and then hole 4 80c. It doesn’t sound too costly does it. What’s the maximum I would be playing for, $12-$30 right? Wrong? On the last hole we would be playing for Over $13,000, thats right $13,000. Now that’my friends is the power of compounding. So what’s the point? The point is, like most of us, you see putting away a bit of money each week as not really amounting to much and usually when we have a bit of money built up we think of something to spend it on. Now i no money isn’t everything, but having money and time does give you a lot more freedom to do exactly what you want in life. Now back to golf. If you thought you’d wait a little while to start this saving thing, have a good look what happened up till hole 14. You were only playing for $819. The growth had been slow and seeing this on a graph would show a very shallow incline, but what happens from hole 15 to 18 is staggering! The compounding builds incredible momentum very quickly. So the point is, start this now, don’t wait and secondly, don’t touch it. The general rule if this is really going to work is all about percentages. Invest 30% of your income and live on 70%. Pay yourself the 30% first then pay all your bills second(NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND) If you can’t pay all your bills, don’t dip into savings. Get extensions on the bills and work out ways to cut your spending(spend less than you earn). The magic formula that many of the Richest people like Warren Buffet practice in investing the 30% is called the bucket theory. Bucket one is 10% of your income-this bucket is for giving away, that’s right, giving away. This is so money never becomes the focus of living, prosperity does. We started this principle 10 years ago and has been one of the most satisfying principles we have ever used in our lives. You really see what kind of a person you really are when it comes to this one. The second 10% is invested in self managed super(its very easy to change over your fund-ask your accountant) and this can be a huge difference in your bottom line come 60 when you use some simple investing strategies. And the third 10% is a bucket for rewards. By rewards I mean, is it a new car that you want, or a deposit for a house, or round the world holiday. This something definitive you are saving for. If you start now and follow this equation you can be a millionaire within 15 years. Ps These tips came from a guy called Tony Robbins, a Billionaire who gets paid $1 million dollars for a couple of hours per year with one client alone, so he’s got a few tips to share. Another time, “How to double your income within a year while working less hours. ” And for the golfers, on the 19th hole the price of some drinks and the pokies was much more! This is Chris Hasson, I hope this has been helpful, catch ya!

Are you like most and really hate what is often seen as “motivational clap trap”. Do you realise that if you get an idiot and motivational material, all you get is a motivated idiot! If a glass of water is full, can you put any more water in it? Yes, if you tip some out. The application and then sharing of profound knowledge and inspiration is not what it does to the audience but what it does to the sharer. “Once upon a time a man set out to change the world. Before long he realised the world was too big to share. So he decided to change his country. Crooked politicians and special interest groups unfortunately thwarted his efforts, so he decided to change his neighbourhood. But his neighbours simply closed their doors and shut their windows, so he decided to change his family. Instead of changing, his children rebelled and his wife threatened a divorce, and things only got worse. Finally the man decided to change himself. And when he did that, he changed the world”. This is Chris Hasson, have a great day.

There’s a true story told of a man by the name of John Ortberg taking his first ever hot air balloon ride with his wife on an anniversary. And guess what emotion the man began to feel…and no, it was not love! It was FEAR. He had always thought those baskets went to about the chest, but this only came to the knees. One good lurch and someone was over the side. The man took a good look at his wife sideways and took the first assurance of the trip so far. The fact that she was more fearful than him. This was demonstrated by the fact she had not once took note of the horse stud below, as she absolutely adored horses. At this stage the man thought it probably a good idea to get to know the young pilot. Thoughts emerged of how the young man got into flying. Possible responsible jobs came up like a brain surgeon, or aero nautical engineering as he asked the pilot of the balloon how he got into the business. He knew he was in trouble when the response started with “Dude it’s like this…”
The pilot did not even have a job. He mainly surfed. He only got into hot air ballooning because he got drunk, crashed his ute, and after badly injuring his brother had been sentenced to community service.
The great question at a moment like this is, can I trust the pilot? He could try and be positive, but lets face it, positive thinking and motivation is really only a band aid. The real story hear, like every human story,is, at part, the struggle between certainty(faith) and uncertainty(fear). Where or who do you put your certainty? To absolutely guarantee joy and happiness, peace and enjoyment everyday for the rest of your life no matter what your circumstances, you must have unwavering certainty. An absolute faith of your destiny, a crystal clear vision of what your purpose is and what it will feel like as you begin fulfilling it. At the same time you must learn the joy of the day to day uncertainty, of not knowing the exact path, of patience, of the storms about to come. The cross roads and the day to day decisions of uncertainty when done in perfect fusion with steely determination of a dream is what brings unimaginable joy to the soul. This is what is called, the Great Human Paradox. T’here’s a story of a simple man doing a great thing. The story of Peter walking on water would not be the great event it was if he didn’t get out of the boat. If you want to walk on water, you must get out of the boat. What is your boat today? This is Chris Hasson, have a great day!

“Are You Finding You’ve Hit A Brick Wall?” There’s a popular climbing mountain in the Switzerland Alps and every year people from all around the World take on the challenge to climb it. It takes a full day to climb. About half way up is a rest house. It is a cosy cedar cabin with a crackling, warm open fireplace, and most people stop here for lunch. The lure of the warm fireplace, the joy of fellowship and a few drinks stops most people and only a few serious committed climbers each day leave the comfort lure of the lunch time stop to make it to the summit. As these climbers leave the comfort of the lodge, they hear behind them the loud laughter of the celebrating climbers in the lodge. But something both strange and interesting happens later in the day. The mood changes in the lodge. people start thinking about whether they should of pressed on, what the view would look like from the top of the mountain and how the other climbers were going. Then it hits them hard. They hear the echoing screams of joy from the climbers who have hit the top. There are four things that stops us reaching the top of the mountain. Fear stops us, comfort stops us, weariness stops us, and the status Quos stops us. If you have stalled in your dreams don’t give up. The words of a wise man once said ” “perseverance is more important than talent” This is Chris Hasson, have a great day!

Knowledge is useless without action. As you read for application remember;
Don’t read to be big,
Read to be down to earth.
Don’t read to be smart,
Read to be wise.
Don’t read to memorize,
Read to realize.
Don’t read to just learn,
Read to sometimes unlearn.
Don’t read alot,
Read just enough to keep yourself curious and hungry, to learn more, to keep getting younger as you grow older.
This is Chris Hasson, Have a great day!

Now lets think of that quote from the Good Book “About being more child like” in our thinking. I pulled up a recent photo of my children and asked myself, what do these children have to teach me, other than patience? Well I thought I would study how they really think and see if I could learn something from them. They are quick to forgive, they have unlimited enthusiasm, they have short memories(don’t hold grudges), they love meeting friends, they love making new friends and they mean what they say and say what they mean. I guess the Good Book has some hidden wisdom in that quote, don’t you think?

Have you ever wondered why women love shoe shopping and women, why men don’t seam to have a clue. An average Eskimo women has 10 pairs of shoes per year, an average Eskimo man has one pair. It’s Universal guys. But why? Studies have shown, when a women goes clothes shopping, she has a very real risk of failure. Sizes don’t always fit, weight can sometimes be an issue, and of course, the dreaded ünflattering mirror. When a women goes shoe shopping. Her shoe size doesn’t change and she’s nearly always going to be successful and feel good.Ladies, have you ever wondered why men just don’t seam to get it. The average man has 7000 words per day capacity, while a women has 20,000. A women has 4 frontal lobes, a man has one. That’s why when the guy comes home from work at night and he’s used 7001 words up already and his partner at 12021 asks him, “how was your day darling”and he says “good” while trying to watch TV, there might be a little friction. One, he can’t do two things at once because of only one frontal lobe and two, good can some up 1007 words. So guys, if a girl asks you does this dress make my bottom look big? The wrong answer is “No!”. She knows the answer before she’s already asked the question. She’s looked in the mirror and thought “My bum looks big in this dress”. She already thinks you lie to her, but know she has proof. The correct answer is “I really love you in anything darling, what do you think you look like” And of course if you say “yes!”, you’re finished!

Word of the day: A man was sitting in a subway car in New York. This is his thoughts: People were sitting quietly-some reading newspapers, some lost in thought, some resting with their eyes closed. It was a calm, peaceful scene.
Then suddenly, a man and his children entered the subway car. The children were so loud and rambunctious that instantly the whole climate changed.
The man sat down next to me and closed his eyes, apparently oblivious to the situation. The children were yelling back and forth, throwing things, even grabbing peoples papers. It was very disturbing. And yet, the man sitting next to me did nothing.
It was difficult not to feel irritated. I could not believe that he could be so insensitive as to let his children run wild like that and do nothing about it, taking no responsibility at all. It was easy to see that everyone else on the the subway felt irritated, too. So finally, with what I felt was unusual patience and restraint, I turned to him and said, “Sir, your children are really disturbing a lot of people. I wonder if you could control them a little more?”
The man lifted his glaze as if to come to a consciousness of the situation for the first time and said softly, “Oh, you’re right. I guess I should do something about it. We just came out from hospital where their mother died about an hour ago. I don’t know what to think, and I guess they don’t know how to handle it either.”
Can you imagine what I felt at that moment? My paradigm shifted. Suddenly I saw things differently, and because I saw things differently, I felt differently, I behaved differently. My irritation vanished. I didn’t have the to worry about controlling my attitude or behavior; my heart was filled with the man’s pain. Feelings of sympathy and compassion flowed freely. “Your wife just died? Oh, I’m so sorry! Can you tell me about it? What can I do to help?” Every thing changed in an instant.
This was an extract from a book by Stephen Covey called the “The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People. It goes to prove that our minds are like parachutes. If it stays open you’ll always have soft landings, but if it’s closed, your bound to hit the ground hard.

“When you want to criticize, discuss a problem or bring up a complaint, first express heart felt appreciation for what that person has done right. And always use the word änd” between transitioning points. For example, “I like the way you have tried really hard in Maths AND with more effort with your homework, you will improve from C to a B grades” for a daughters report card at school is better than “I like the way you have tried really hard in maths BUT you need to put more effort in with your homework so you can raise your grades from C to B grades”. And even worse “You really need to put more effort in with your homework if you are to raise your grades from a C to a B”. You see “Life and death is in the power of the tongue” The Good Book
